Moon was once part of the Earth!

Scientists have make available new indication that the moon was once part of our planet, but billions of years ago, "broke away" from it in a collision with another celestial body.

Now that planetary scientists to understand where there is water on the natural satellite of our planet, all the scholarly attention has focused on the more fundamental question: how, after all, come from the moon itself? And how is it that she seemed bound rotated in space in tune with the Earth?

Another "Lunar rain" poured this week, albeit in the form of several sensational research scientists who have provided new evidence of the origin of the Moon from the Earth. Astrophysicists shed light on some dark spots in the theory of the origin of the moon, according to a celestial body which was born as a result of large-scale clashes between the proto-Earth and another planet of the solar system.

Experts have prepared a brief guide to the new findings:

What happened to the Earth?
There is a theory that about 4.5 billion years ago the planet, comparable in size to Mars and was named Theia (Theia), crashed into a large "proto-Earth." Upon impact Theia crumbled to pieces, which formed a sort of "dust" belt around the Earth. Soon they were united to form the Moon.

This theory of "crash" seemed to explain and contemporary dimensions of the Earth and the Moon and their relative distance from each other. But, however, scientists have many questions remained: it was found that the chemistry is not quite physics - the chemical composition of the planet and its satellites do not fit into this slim physical theory. At least it was until now.

Chemical evidence of interplanetary "accident"
A new study published in the journal Nature, is based on a study of zinc in lunar rock samples collected by astronauts famous mission "Apollo." Geologists have found that the ratio of heavy and light isotopes of zinc is different from what are traditionally terrestrial rocks. However, scientists have found that this "discrepancy" could be due to an intense period of evaporation in the early era of the formation of the Moon. In other words, this means that the surface of the satellite was so hot that zinc began to evaporate.

The ratio of "analysis"
Further chemical analysis of lunar soil samples also proved that it contained quite “mundane” items - the same number of the same type of oxygen, titanium, silicon and other elements.

These data led scientists to revise their ideas about how the moon formed - probably in the formation of particles Teyi satellite played less prominent role than previously thought. The fact that the Moon and the Earth, in fact, were molded from the same material gives grounds to assume that the moon - is not only a satellite of our planet, but also part of it broke away in a cosmic "accidents."

As far as this idea is grounded
There are some inconsistencies in the proposed scenario, the formation of planets. Main "difference" scientists see that the 24-hour rotation of the Earth - is too slow loop to "throw" is enough material to form the Moon. However, a new computer model of astrophysicists at Harvard, argues that the Earth at the dawn of their lives could be rotated much faster - in prehistory day could last only 2-3 hours. Such speeds, according to the scientists, it would be enough to set the "impulse "for the formation of a celestial body, such as the moon.
