Electromagnetic black hole

In the case of artificial black hole, not the severity needed to achieve the effect absorbent. And all thanks to artificial materials that are unusual electromagnetic properties resulting from its own structure and not its composition. King Chang and Tie Jun Cui, the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, from Nanjing University in China, designed and manufactured the artificial black hole, officially named unidirectional electromagnetic absorbed met materials using 60 strips,

which were placed in concentric layers and coated with copper. As reported in the Institutes of Physics  in a statement, in each of these layers were printed also alternating patterns, echoing or not electromagnetic waves.

The unidirectional electromagnetic absorbed could trap and absorb electromagnetic waves from all directions spiraling internal radiation and converting its energy into heat, with an absorption rate of 99%.
In this way, behaved like a "black body electromagnetic" or "electromagnetic black hole." For now, the device works only with microwave, but the researchers plan to develop soon a black hole also absorb visible light.
